Covid Virus Awareness

Updated: Dec 28, 2020

What to do about this virus?

SARS-CoV-2 (the virus) which causes Covid-19 (the disease) has created worldwide social upheaval. Regardless of all the information that we are trying to sort through, each of us feels vulnerable at some level. This is my attempt at helping people feel more empowered and more in control.

The symptoms give us some clues as to what is going on in our body. The lack of symptoms may be a good sign. Early reports say people with mild to no signs of being infected may have a weaker form of the virus or their immune system was kick-ass, and they may be much less contagious than those with more serious symptoms. Diarrhea, vomiting and a runny nose may be the body throwing off the virus, so don’t curse them. Sore throat, cough, fever might be signs of your immune system kicking into high gear. Fatigue, body aches and chills may mean you are in full tilt so it is important you sleep most of the day and stay in bed. Rather than eat, drink salty bone broths and vegetable soup until the fever breaks. A hot bath or a sauna has been shown to boost the immune system as well.

Your health profile may determine how well you fare after Sars-CoV-S exposure according to initial studies. Certainly the status of your immune system is crucial, but this is a complicated issue with many topics worthy of exploration. The role of diet, supplements, exercise, fasting, thermotherapy will be tackled in future blogs. Meanwhile feel free to contact me regarding a supplement consultation.
